Big framed art is very “in” right now but it also comes with a BIG price tag! I love the oversized look and wanted it in our dining room so I figured out how to do it on the cheap! Details below:
Frames: The size of glass and sturdiness required gives large frames a hefty price tag. So I opted for plastic (swear you’d never know unless you touched it!) you can get plastic frames by buying poster holders! Now a days they’re not all shiny black plastic either. I found these white wood poster holders at Michaels.
Art: Another thing that’s never cheap. You’ll need a really high resolution image in order to blow it up for printing without pixeling it. There is a really cool website where photographers share their images for free called @unsplash. You can download high resolution, beautiful photography for free. And there’s so much to chose from to match any home style. (Full disclosure- I did buy the left image from Etsy (around $7) before thinking to use unsplash! But the right two are from unsplash)
Printing: Walgreens offers poster sized printing for around $10 with a coupon (and I feel like they always have photo coupons!) • Hope this helps someone wanting the BIG art get it for less ❤️
