Our breakfast nook has come a LONG way! Scroll down to see the transformation. Picture one is what it looks like now, picture two is how the previous home owners styled it, and picture three shows the transformation of the furniture and decor.
Table:
Right after we moved in, we heard of a bank closing and getting rid of furniture (free is my favorite kind!) we got SO lucky and snagged this table for free! It was a dark “orangey” wood (scroll to pic 3 to see) but I refinished it to give it a “driftwood” look. There’s a story on my instagram highlights on how to do this if you’re curious!
Chairs:
Goodwill for the win! We found 9 of these all black chairs (swipe to pic 3 to see) for $50! I repainted them with chalk paint (no sanding or stripping required) and then recovered the seats with a light linen fabric.
Decor:
The brass matted frames are all from target. I ordered prints of family and friends from Walgreens in black & white to keep a consistent look. The rug is from Wayfair (sold out but here’s a similar rug ) and the extra-large bottleneck vase can be found just about anywhere right now, they’re so popular. The eucalyptus is fresh from Costco (and smells lovely!)
Let me know if you have any questions! I LOVE doing this kind of stuff! I always joke I have a caviar taste and a tuna budget so I have to do what I can to make it work 🙂
