I cannot believe I am entering the third trimester! Time really does fly when you’re expecting. I rounded up a few looks that I’ve been gravitating towards. My style ranges from overalls for a day of home projects to a nice maxi dress in the office. I have to say, I’m grateful to be pregnant in the summertime because (as you’ll see) I gravitate towards dresses 80% of the time because they’re so easy and non-restricting on the belly.
Whether you’re expecting or not, scroll all the way to the bottom to enter a giveaway for a $500 Nordstrom gift card. And to whoever wins: please save this until the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starting late July! I’m already jealous.
Maternity Overalls:
Starting with the most casual, these $16 maternity overalls! I know people are going to hate on overalls, Cody makes fun of me, but I think they’re cute and I have always been a big overall fan. Maternity wear can be expensive so at $16, these are a steal in my book! I’m wearing a size small here and have a ton of room for the growing bump.
Bump Friendly T-shirt Dress:
Next up is the not-so-glamorous side of pregnancy, but my work-from-home outfit which consists of T-shirt dresses and compression socks most days! I have this T-shirt dress in 3 colors and have owned them for 5 years now. At $9 a piece they are a total win in my book! They wash well and aren’t see-through in the slightest bit.
Casual Summer Pregnancy Outfit:
Up next is a casual summer outfit. I purchased this flowy skirt in a size large so it would have plenty of fabric to go over the bump and not look too short. I paired it with a white tank and added a jean jacket for the office, although outdoors its so hot you’d never catch me in it this time of year haha.
Bump Update Photo Dress:
This next outfit is a super simple black bodycon dress, also from Amazon. I bought this dress to take weekly bump photos, then completely fell out of my weekly photo routine around 22 weeks… oops! It is still a flattering dress but I would recommend sizing up because it does ride up in the front with the overlapping fabric. I’m wearing a small here but would feel more comfortable in a medium
Bump Friendly Maxi Dress:
Next up is a super lightweight flowy maxi dress. I purchased this dress originally because I thought that the shoulder ties were functional and would be great for postpartum recovery/ breastfeeding, but it turns out the should tie are fake. I loved the look of the dress so I decided to keep it even though it won’t be the easy breastfeeding dress I thought it would be. I’m wearing a small here.
Stretchy Sweater Tank Dress:
The final, and most dressy item, is this Amazon sweater dress. I was skeptical on the “one size fits all” sizing but it truly does stretch and hugs curves in the right places. I purchased the white and need to wear nude undergarments with it. I would purchase the oatmeal color if I were to go back in time but the crisp white is beautiful, I justneed to be selective on my undergarments lol.
